Machine Learning (Sr.) Engineer - Skedler
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a machine learning engineer at Guidanz, you will help design, develop, and implement the machine learning algorithms for Skedler Automation solution. You will develop machine learning solutions for industry problems in infosecurity, network analytics, IT analytics, log analytics and more.
Whatever technologies, languages, or development environments you’ve been using or learnt, we expect you have mastered them in depth, and we expect that you will be able to master any technology, language, or development environment that we need in the future.
Our engineers work on all product-level decisions with management existing primarily to support, not dictate. We have minimal process and plenty of freedom to innovate.
Requirements
  • You have a deep expertise in machine learning as demonstrated through products and projects.
  • Expertise in developing anomaly detection algorithms, classification, NLP, correlation algorithms is a significant plus.
  • Domain expertise in information security, log analytics, IT analytics will be a significant plus.
  • You have incredible coding skills. Your programming ability is way above average, as demonstrated by a continuous string of successful projects. Optimal candidates will have expertise in the technologies used in the Guidanz solutions listed below:
  • Python
  • Java
  • ML libs
  • Hadoop, HBase and/or other NoSQL databases
  • R
  • MVC framework like Struts2 (nice to have)
  • RESTful web services (nice to have)

  • Customer Support Engineer – Skedler, BI Connector
    JOB DESCRIPTION
    As the first Customer Support Engineer at Guidanz for our enterprise software products, you are embarking on an exciting and challenging opportunity. We are looking for a hands-on leader who will organically build a world class customer support team for our products: Skedler and BI Connector.
    In addition to customer support, you are responsible for all customer facing training and documentation. You will have the opportunity to directly help our customers from Fortune 500 organizations such as CBRE, Take2 Software, Allscripts, Dominos Pizza, HPE, Royal Bank of Canada and more.
    Responsibility
  • Manage the Freshdesk based customer support ticketing system for both Skedler and BI Connector.
  • Define and manage the templates, workflows and automation in Freshdesk.
  • Acknowledge customer tickets in a timely manner and assign appropriate priority for the tickets.
  • Help resolve installation and configuration (L1) issues quickly in first response.
  • For L2 issues, coordinate web conference meetings between customer and engineering for troubleshooting.
  • Identify documentation, product enhancements that will prevent future recurrence of the issue.
  • Create solution articles and enhance documentation to help customers prevent configuration/installation errors.
  • For L3 issues that require product fixes or enhancements, create JIRA tickets to track resolution.
  • For L3 issues, work with Product Manager(s) and Engineering to define the priority of bug fixes.
  • For L3 issues, track the resolution of issues by engineering and communicate the ETA and availability to customers.
  • Create product documentation, video recordings that will help customers to install, configure, and use the products without any user errors.
  • You will work in timings that overlap our predominantly US based customers. So you will be working between 3pm and 12 pm IST.

  • You MUST HAVE a minimum of Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, or Science. School and College education must be in English Medium.
  • You MUST HAVE 1-3 years of experience in Customer Support Role in a technology company.
  • You MUST HAVE excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Ability to write clear emails and documentation is essential. .
  • You MUST HAVE impeccable attention to detail in everything that you do. No spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, missing customer responses et al.
  • You MUST HAVE good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Research, critical thinking, data analysis, and creativity are absolutely essential.
  • You MUST HAVE interest in developing domain knowledge and becoming an expert in the product and related ecosystem.
  • You MUST HAVE experience with customer ticketing system such as Freshdesk, JIRA or Zendesk.
  • You MUST work between the hours of 3 pm to 12 pm IST.
  • Nice to Have: DevOps skills, Linux skills, Windows skills.

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    As a C/C++ Software developer at Guidanz, you will be responsible for the design and development of our Business Intelligence solutions. You should be able to write efficient, reusable and reliable C/C++ code. Whatever technologies, languages, or development environments you've been using, we expect you have mastered them in depth, and we expect that you will be able to master any technology, language, or development environment that we need in the future.

    Requirements
  • Must have development experience in object oriented design using C++.
  • Must have developed software for Windows(must) and Linux. 3-5 years is adequate.
  • Must have development experience using industry standard libraries like STL, Boost or other 3rd party open source libraries.
  • Must have good knowledge/development experience in SQL or PL/SQL / Oracle.
  • Must have excellent command of written and spoken English. Ability to communicate professionally and in grammatically correct English over email, phone, chat or whatever may be the medium of communication is mandatory (Hint: We do not like SMS style communication).
  • Familiarity with Source Code versioning tools like Git/SVN.
  • Familiarity in using automation tools for software development/QA.
  • You have a strong interest in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
  • Nice to have: ODBC Driver development experience, Development experience in using Python language.
